Evangelization Ministry

The Evangelization Ministry of St. Vincent de Paul Parish serves God and our parish community by living out the Good News of Jesus Christ through:

  Hospitality - Fostering a welcoming and nurturing community.
  Outreach - Extending the invitation beyond our community, especially those who have left the 
                   church.
  Ministry - Helping people remove the barriers to evangelization in their own lives.
  EvangelizationHelping parishioners to share their faith both within our parish community and
                    with others they meet.

The Evangelization Ministry is currently active or planning the following activities: 
           Greeters - training and scheduling (please call to help out)
           Welcome Ministry - rosary packets given to visitors and new parishioners
           Parish Mission - an annual mission with an evangelistic theme
           Donut Fellowship - get to know your fellow parishioners
           Prayer after Mass - a team offers healing prayer after several masses
           Prayer for Vocations - call or email for more information
           Library and Book Ministry - learn more about our Catholic faith
           Faith Seminars - special topics presented by parishioners or outside speakers

Evangelization Ministry meetings are open to all are are held at 7:00 pm on the last Sunday of each month. Please check for changes to the schedule before attending by or calling one of the evangelization ministry leaders in the bulletin. Please do not call rectory. 



Pastoral Care Ministry

Our mission is to provide for the special needs of parishioners on a personal level as well as provide help, direction, or assistance to those in need, offering care and comfort, and promoting growth, hope, and healing in Christ.

Specifically:

  • Visitation of the Sick
  • Grief/bereavement support
  • Support for serious illness
  • Transportation to and from church, and on a case-by-case basis, doctors' appointments and pharmacy
  • Self-Help
  • Parish Help

Pastoral Council


The Pastoral Council of St. Vincent de Paul Parish is a visionary body, providing counsel and advice on all aspects of parish life and engaging in short-term and long-term pastoral planning in collaboration with the Pastor.  Pastoral planning begins with and  is sustained through a process of discernment and assessment.  Through prayer, study and communication, the Pastoral Council seeks to identify and prioritize ways in which our Parish is being called to live out its Mission.

The Pastoral Council functions through its committees or ministries, Worship, Education, Evangelization, Maintenance, Pastoral Care, Social Action and Ecumenical to meet the diverse needs of the Parish community and community at-large.  The Pastoral Council also seeks to support the pastoral priorities of the Diocese of Camden indentified through Bishop Galante; 

Speak-Up Sessions:      
                      Lifelong Faith Formation, Priestly Vocations, Lay Ministry, 
                      Youth/Young Adults, and
                      Liturgy and Compassionate Outreach.

Pastoral Council meetings are open to all and attendance and comment are encouraged and appreciated.  The meetings are conducted beginning at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday of every other month, January, March, May, July, September and November in the Rectory basement.



Social Action Ministry
Food Pantry Committee -
The St. Vincent de Paul Parish Food Pantry has opened its doors to the parishioners and community. 
The Pantry Hours are Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, each week.

The Food Pantry Committee is always looking for volunteers if you would be interested in helping please call Vi Corbo at 476-4195.

The Food Pantry Committee meets on the third Thursday of the month in the Rectory Basement.


Angel Food Ministries - is a way to stretch your food budget.  There is no income requirement. Orders may be placed the First Sunday of each month, in St. Vincent's rectory basement from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and on Distribution Days at St. Vincent de Paul Parish Center from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, all orders are paid for by CASH or MONEY ORDER.
