Activities

Saint Vincent de Paul Regional School offers a wide variety of activities that complement the educational curriculum and support the philosophy of "developing the whole child".

Student Council allows students to take an active role in organizing special school events and promotes the development of leadership skills.

The children participate in a Prayer Families Program that groups students from different grades together on occasion throughout the year to work on projects and activities with a religious focus.

The annual school Variety Show is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase a wide variety of talent that may include music, dance, comedy or perhaps athleticism. All grades participate in the annual Christmas Program where school families watch the pageant and are entertained by the students singing carols.  Piano lessons are available during school with winter and spring recitals. Many students also participate in the after school art lessons where they receive specialized instruction in mediums that include water colors, pastels, and clay sculpture.

Community service projects include the American Heart Association's Jump Rope A- thon, The Walk for Diabetes, St. Baldrick's Day, and Catholic Charities.

After school programs are important components of the total learning experience. These programs include Choir, Art, Drama, School Newspaper, Yearbook, Chess Club, Book Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and  Altar Servers . In addition, the Saint Vincent de Paul "Vikings" shine in Basketball, Cross-Country and Track.

Students are given the opportunity to participate in various art, poster, essay, spelling, geography and poetry contests sponsored by the school, the parish and the community throughout the school year.

Saint Vincent de Paul also offers an Extended Day Program from 2:30pm through 6:00pm when school is in session.  The program provides supervised care, homework assistance, structured activities and recreation for children enrolled in Grades K-8. A nominal fee is charged per hour.
